Commercial ElectricianThis role supports a long-term, high-rise apartment construction project, focusing on electrical installations across multiple phases of construction, including underground work, rough-in, conduit installation, layout, and terminations. You will work as part of a field crew on an active commercial jobsite, performing hands-on tasks while receiving ongoing training and opportunities to advance as the project progresses over an anticipated duration of 1–2 years.ResponsibilitiesInstall electrical systems in a commercial, high-rise construction environment in accordance with project plans and applicable codes.Perform underground electrical work and electrical rough-in for a variety of building systems.Measure, cut, bend, and install electrical conduit using appropriate tools and methods.Pull and route wire and cable through conduit and other pathways as specified.Install electrical boxes, supports, and related components securely and accurately.Complete electrical layouts based on project drawings and direction from supervision.Assist with device installation and electrical terminations, ensuring clean and reliable connections.Work from ladders and at elevated areas safely to complete installations at height.Participate in daily pre-task planning and morning safety meetings to review work and hazards.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area throughout the shift.Work productively as part of a crew of approximately three to four employees, supporting team goals.Follow all company, jobsite, and OSHA safety requirements at all times.Use standard electrical and construction hand tools to complete assigned tasks efficiently.Support troubleshooting activities as needed to identify and resolve electrical issues.Essential SkillsApproximately 2–3 years of electrical construction experience preferred, ideally in a field or jobsite setting.Experience working in a commercial or multifamily construction environment.Familiarity with electrical rough-in, conduit installation, and basic terminations.Ability to use standard electrical and construction hand tools safely and effectively.Ability to read and follow basic project directions, plans, and layouts.Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team.Reliable attendance and dependable transportation to and from the jobsite.Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity on an active construction site.Ability to perform physical construction work throughout an eight-hour shift, including lifting, carrying, and working at heights.Fundamental skills in wiring, conduit work, pulling wire, and basic troubleshooting.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience on high-rise apartment or large multifamily construction projects.Experience with underground electrical installations and related site work.Ability to read basic electrical drawings, plans, or layouts with minimal guidance.Conduit-bending experience using hand or mechanical benders.Experience with electrical testing and terminations to verify proper installation.Exposure to construction environments involving blueprint reading and installation work.Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized work area while working in small crews.Why Work Here?You join a long-term, stable project that offers consistent work and the chance to grow your skills over time. You can expect typical construction-site conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, changing temperatures, and moving equipment, while working as part of a small crew in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Escondido, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00/hr.
