Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a day shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Respiratory Care department at an academic medical center with a dedicated children's hospital
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Serves all appropriate age levels across areas covered by the respiratory therapy department
• Pediatric hospital experience preferred
• 26-week contract length

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred
• RRT credential required
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
• Serve as a resource person to medical staff
• Participate as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Previous travelers who have completed a 26-week engagement must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract
• This facility maintains strict compliance deadlines; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
