Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Edmonds, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 6-month contract position.

Schedule: 4x10 Hour Shift: Tuesday - Friday, 07:30 - 18:00 (with flexibility to cover on Monday if needed)

Job Description: This position covers a caregiver on leave in a Primary Care and OBGYN clinic with 16 providers. The role primarily involves phone triage and in-clinic appointments including injections, teaching, blood pressure checks, wound care, suture removal, and newborn checks. RNs are expected to triage Pediatric, OB, and adult patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments including height, weight, vital signs, and pain assessments.
• Manage medication administration (intradermal, intramuscular, intravenous, subcutaneous).
• Perform telephone triage and provide patient education related to lifestyle and medication adherence.
• Collaborate with team members on quality improvement initiatives.
• Utilize external fetal heart monitoring (EFM) as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1 year of outpatient clinic experience required.
• Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Triage experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Current RN license in WA or Compact license.
• Certifications: BLS, AWHONN FHM.
