OSP Field Engineer

OSP Field Engineer Location: St. Louis, MO. 1099/long‑term project. US work authorization required. Startech Networks is seeking an OSP Field Engineer in the Missouri area with extensive OSP engineering experience. The candidate must have experience with FTTH & FTTB, AT&T engineering experience, and expertise in ARAMIS and other AT&T tools. Responsibilities Scope OSP‑related projects and manage timelines. Demonstrate good customer, vendor, and project management skills. Communicate effectively over the phone, via e‑mail, and in person. Design, provision, and document outside plant fiber optic cable (UG, aerial, & buried). Understand manhole and conduit design. Read and understand workprints from various drafting systems, such as AutoCAD and ARAMIS. Take field notes following OSP design principles; ability to transfer notes into a KMZ file is a plus. Have knowledge of Google Earth; optional. Understand pole loading and ROW permit requirements. Understand FTTx and AT&T GPON design; a plus. Be legally authorized to work in the United States. Be flexible for occasional short business trips and weekend work. Maintain efficient working timelines while multitasking several projects at once.
