Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Payroll Title: CLIN NURSE 2 Department: CARDIOVASCULAR CENTER Hiring Pay Scale: $66.25 - $92.86 / Hour Worksite: Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center Appointment Type: Career Appointment Percent: 90% Union: NX Contract Total Openings: 1 Work Schedule: Days, 12-Hour Shifts, Monday-Friday + Weekend Call Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse is responsible for patient assessment and care delivery; identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results for a wide variety of patient populations presenting for cardiac or peripheral vascular catheterization. Circulates or monitors coronary, carotid, renal, and lower extremity diagnostic and interventional procedures. Primary RN circulator responsible for patient care and authentication of electronic documentation record. Excellent AMI program. Directs and acts as resource to other members of the health care team as assigned. Promotes compliance and supports policies. Achieves trust in a professional collegial relationships. Maintains a professional and caring attitude. Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. Minimum Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. RN License issued by the State of California. BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date. Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care RN experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Cath Lab. Must be able to work in a team environment. Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately‑complex problems to develop potential solutions. Must have excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing. Preferred Qualifications BSN/MSN. RCIS, CEN or CCRN certification. One or more years of recent cardiac cath lab RN experience. Special Conditions Must be able to take call, work variable locations and shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays at the needs of the department. Must be able to wear a lead apron. Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical. Pay Transparency Act: Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $66.25 - $92.86.
