Description: Epic experience is required. Candidates must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to submission. Candidates must be willing to float to different departments as needed. The Med-Surg floor focuses on post-surgical patients, including orthopedics and general surgery, as well as neuro populations. The position requires the ability to provide routine and complex care while managing clinical situations. The nurse must demonstrate the ability to make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, which encompasses assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. The nurse will address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Medications and treatments must be administered using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Documenting patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided is essential. The nurse will assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers while identifying issues and resources. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. The work schedule is 7 AM to 7 PM. This is a full-time position.
