Registered Nurse - Operating Room

The Registered Nurse will work four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This position includes a rotating call schedule with both weekday and weekend call responsibilities.

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. This role will also require floating to Genesis surgery centers as needed, aligned with current patient census and staffing needs. Call responsibilities may include holiday rotation if a holiday occurs during the assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and postoperative care to patients
• Monitor patient vitals and react appropriately during surgical procedures
• Assist in surgical procedures and ensure a sterile environment
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare staff
• Participate in rotating call schedule and float to other surgical centers as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience required
• Experience with robotic, neuro, and orthopedic procedures is preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency is necessary
