Position Overview

Neto Capital is hiring a Head of Collections to own recovery across our MCA portfolio. You'll manage defaults and at-risk accounts directly, set collections strategy and settlement authority, and build out the function as the portfolio grows. This role requires merchant cash advance collections experience specifically — daily and weekly ACH remittance structures, reconciliation demands, and stacked positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own recovery on defaulted and delinquent MCA accounts: negotiate restructures, settlements, and payment arrangements within defined authority.
• Set collections strategy and escalation policy — when to restructure, when to place with outside counsel or agencies, when to pursue UCC remedies.
• Build and lead the collections team; set call standards, file documentation requirements, and performance targets.
• Report portfolio delinquency, recovery rates, and default trends to management, and feed patterns back to Underwriting and Risk.

Requirements

• 4+ years in collections or recovery on merchant cash advances or similar revenue-based business financing.
• Direct experience with MCA default scenarios: blocked or reversed ACH debits, merchants claiming reduced revenue, reconciliation requests, bank account switches, and stacked positions.
• Track record negotiating settlements and restructures with settlement authority, and knowing when a file stops being worth working.
• Comfortable working files personally while building the function — this is hands-on, not a pure oversight seat.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing outside counsel, third-party agencies, or UCC and judgment enforcement processes.
• Experience building a collections function or team from a small base.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or comparable CRMs, and with AI tools for call summaries and file documentation.
• Spanish is a strong advantage.
