Position Summary The CDL Driver will travel along an assigned route to pack, transport, and properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with Veolia’s environmentally responsible policies. The role requires accurate record‑keeping, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work independently with training. Primary Responsibilities Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Complete required paperwork in accordance with regulations and customer policies. Load and secure materials, and unload the truck at customer sites or Clean Earth locations. Prepare and load the truck with necessary supplies. Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily, communicating any issues to Manager or Dispatcher for resolution. Perform a documented pre‑trip and post‑trip check on the truck each day. Plan schedules and routes based on customer needs, reviewing daily paperwork such as manifests and route sheets. Follow routing software schedule. Follow all DOT guidelines while driving. Prepare for up to four overnights per week and some weekend work; a company card and daily per diem cover hotel and food expenses. Qualifications At least 21 years of age. High School diploma or GED. Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check. Able to lift and carry up to 75lbs regularly. Can stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. Willing to wear company‑provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator when needed. Understand, read, and write English. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of Windows‑based software (Word, Excel). At least one year of route driving experience. Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations. Physical and Mental Demands Work in all climate conditions both indoors and outdoors. Work safely near moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, and other hazards. Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment that may include respirator, eye protection, Tyvek suit, protective footwear, etc. Benefits Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering, and a 401(k) plan beginning January1,2027.
