Job Description

Join a Lafayette manufacturing team where your craftsmanship turns individual parts into road-ready wheel and tire hub assemblies.

A day in this role

You start by reviewing the build sheet and gathering components. With hand and power tools in reach, you mount tires to wheels, align components, and fasten hardware to spec. Each unit is inspected for flaws before it moves forward. Throughout the shift you coordinate with teammates to stay on takt time, maintain a spotless, safe work area, and complete final quality checks before staging the assemblies for the next process.

Pay

1st Shift: $17.50/hr
2nd Shift: $18.00/hr

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, overtime as required; Saturdays may be scheduled as needed
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM, overtime as required; Saturdays may be scheduled as needed
Training: 1st Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with possible overtime) for approximately 2–3 weeks before moving to 2nd shift

What you’ll build and how

Assemble complete wheel and tire hub units with accuracy and consistency
Visually and physically check parts for defects prior to and during assembly
Follow written work instructions and torque specifications to meet quality standards
Collaborate with your line to achieve production targets
Keep your station organized and operate with safety first

What helps you succeed

Prior manufacturing or factory experience preferred
Comfort using hand tools and power tools
Forklift exposure is a plus
Reliable teammate with solid endurance
Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Comfortable working in a non–climate-controlled factory environment
