Assist in achieving compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards. BSN preferred Minimum two years’ experience in hospital surgery department, surgery clinic, clinical research or medical records. Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required. Successful completion of applicable required certification and training programs to include, but not limited to, ACS BQIP SCR training/certification within 6 months of hire. 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting Experience with databases, data entry and/or database management preferred Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Effective interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities Knowledge of licensure regulations, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization and state/federal standards Knowledge of Performance Improvement methodology and Outcomes Management Statistical analysis skills Demonstrated problem solving, data assembly and action planning ability leading to the development of actions plans that will prove helpful in achieving measurable objectives Ability to organize, formulate, educate and facilitate problem solving teams Demonstrative ability to work without supervision towards a desired outcome Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Database management Ability to interact with all members of the surgical team and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner.
