Ambulatory Outpatient Surgery Center NurseProvides safe, quality patient care in an ambulatory outpatient surgery center.Essential FunctionsTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Evaluate, plan, implement, and document patient care, observations, medications, and medical historyObserve the patient according to appropriate physiological and developmental ageAdminister medications following physician ordersAbility to initiate and coordinate pain management; ability to manage patient airway post-surgeryServe as liaison between patient, family, and surgical team to coordinate all aspects of nursing care and teaching in order to achieve desired outcomes and ensure patient safetyRegular and predictable attendanceAbility to work in a cooperative manner with othersPerform other duties as assignedSkills & AbilitiesEducation: Graduate of accredited post-secondary school of nursing required.Experience: 1 year of previous PACU or Critical Care (RF, ICU, or similar) experience required.Computer Skills: Must be computer literate.
