Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)

Location: Danbury, Connecticut
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility to respond to facility needs
Salary: Based on experience

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead the daily operations of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Connecticut.

The Administrator will provide strong leadership across clinical operations, resident care, staffing, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will be a visible and supportive leader who is committed to delivering high-quality care and creating a positive environment for residents, families, and staff.

• Oversee the overall operations and administration of the nursing home.

• Ensure compliance with federal and Connecticut state regulations and applicable healthcare standards.

• Partner with the Director of Nursing and department leaders to maintain high standards of resident care.

• Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain qualified employees.

• Monitor staffing, scheduling, labor costs, and operational performance.

• Develop and manage the facility budget and financial objectives.

• Maintain effective relationships with residents, families, physicians, employees, vendors, and community partners.

• Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

• Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and inspections.

• Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.

• Promote a culture of dignity, respect, accountability, and person-centered care.

• Identify opportunities to improve resident satisfaction, employee engagement, quality outcomes, and facility performance.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure policies and procedures are followed.

• Serve as a professional representative of the facility within the local community.

• Current Connecticut Nursing Home Administrator license in good standing.

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.

• Previous nursing home, skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute healthcare leadership experience required.

• Strong knowledge of nursing home operations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

• Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.

• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical departments.

• Proven ability to manage budgets, staffing, and operational priorities.
