Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist Needed

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Savannah, GA. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of neonatal and pediatric patients with respiratory disorders, including participation in neonatal transport operations and high-acuity NICU care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years NICU transport experience required.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Required certifications: RRT/CRT, NRP, PALS.
• Experience with neonatal airway and ventilation management, including mask ventilation, ventilator management (conventional, HFOV, CPAP/NIV, HFNC), and transport ventilators.
• Experience with transport operations and equipment troubleshooting, including isolette systems, oxygen management, and EMS integration.
• Proficiency in bag-mask ventilation, securing and managing advanced airways, and assisting with line placements for transport stabilization.
• Ability to document transport events, interventions, and patient assessments accurately.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• STABLE certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Hamilton ventilators, Cross Vent, and TXP equipment preferred.
• Experience with point-of-care testing (ABG/CBG, glucose) preferred.
• Annual transport competencies completed preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Scheduling special requirements: 2–3 shifts per week.
• Documentation system: paper-based charting.
• Dress code: black on black scrubs.
