The Personal Caregiver provides compassionate and comprehensive support to clients in a private home setting, offering extensive physical assistance and attending to a wide range of personal needs. This role involves delivering personal assistance, mobility support, hygiene help, meal preparation, companionship, health monitoring, and housekeeping with a focus on safety and patient care. The caregiver is expected to maintain flexibility with overnight and weekend shifts to ensure continuous support.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal assistance tailored to individual client needs
- Support client mobility and physical movement
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements
- Assist with hygiene and grooming tasks
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Monitor client health and report changes promptly
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
- Maintain safety and prevent hazards in the home
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of personal caregiving experience
- Certified in Basic First Aid and CPR
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated empathy and patient care abilities
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Awareness of safety protocols in caregiving
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
