SkillBridge is an excellent opportunity as you plan for your life after the military. This program is open to any rank, enlisted or officer.Skillbridge is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last six months of service for up to 180 days.You may be eligible to participate in SkillBridge if you:Have 180 days of service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge and you have at least 180 continuous days of active service.Obtain written authorization and approval from your unit commander to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of the internship.Will receive an honorable discharge.Has taken any service TAPS/TGPSAgree that participation in SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the service if mission requirements dictate.Our 90to 180-dayinternship assignments provide real-world exposure to day-to-day activities in departments and hands-on training opportunities to re-skill and up-skill. Participants are not eligible for compensation from GDLS, as they continue to receive DOD compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.
