Title
Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Schedule
Nights - 3 x 12-hour shifts; weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS/BCLS required
- RN license: valid compact or state license required at the time of submission
- Charting System: Epic required
- Core Clinical Skills:
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- IV starts and maintaining IVs; peripheral line, PICC, and central line care
- Care in PCU/stepdown settings
- Familiarity with post-transplant and post-procedure care (e.g., biopsy/paracentesis)
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be a manager/director or formal supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a progressive care unit setting.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
- Document patient assessments and responses in the electronic medical records system.

Compliance / Notes
- Must be willing to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity within the organization as needed.
- Strict fingerprinting/credentialing deadline; fingerprinting must be completed urgently.
- Candidates outside the state may be required to travel for fingerprinting or complete a mailed packet urgently.
- Current employees at the facility are ineligible; former employees eligible after 6 months.
