Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Carson City, NV 89706
Duration: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) / 3rd Shift (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

Job Summary

CNC Machinist responsible for operating CNC machines, producing precision components, and maintaining tight tolerances . Focus on blueprint reading, tooling, machining operations, and quality inspection in an aerospace manufacturing environment .

Key Responsibilities (Mobile-Friendly)

• Operate CNC machines (milling, grinding, machining)
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Set up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling for accuracy
• Perform precision measurements using inspection tools
• Replace and maintain cutting tools
• Complete inspection and production documentation
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Follow safety, quality, and production standards
• Identify and improve efficiency and productivity

• Tooling & fixture alignment
• Precision inspection & measurement
• Equipment maintenance & safety compliance

Work Environment / Role Nature

• Aerospace manufacturing / shop floor
• Hands-on machining and inspection role

• Physically active environment (lifting, standing)

Required Skills

• CNC machining (milling/grinding) – 2+ years
• Blueprint reading & GD&T – 2+ years
• Inspection tools (micrometers, calipers) – 2+ years
• Machining math & measurement – 1+ year
• Safety & quality compliance – 1+ year

Preferred Skills

• Manual machining experience – 1+ year
• Tool setup & fixture alignment – 1+ year
• Overhead crane operation – 1+ year
• Aerospace manufacturing exposure – 1+ year
• Lean / continuous improvement – 1+ year

Technical / Functional Exposure

• CNC operations (milling, grinding) – 2+ years
• GD&T & blueprint interpretation – 2+ years
• Precision inspection tools – 2+ years
• Machine setup & tool adjustments – 2+ years
• Maintenance & troubleshooting – 1+ year

Education / Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Trade school / machining certification preferred
• Minimum 2+ years machining experience (manual + CNC preferred)
