Job Title

Registered Nurse – Oncology

Newport News, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Oncology Medical-Surgical unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology patients
• Document patient information and care activities accurately using EPIC
• Float to other units as requested based on facility needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or a valid compact license with proof at time of submittal
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH and stroke education required
• Minimum of one supervisory reference required at time of submittal
• Oncology specialty experience within the last year required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy certification is a plus but not required
• Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting
