Mid-Atlantic Environmental Lead

In the role of Mid-Atlantic Environmental Lead, you will lead multidisciplinary teams through project lifecycles, ensuring delivery on schedule, budget, and quality. Responsibilities Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. Own all aspects of complex small‑to‑medium projects or routine large projects. Produce and coordinate several small‑to‑medium projects concurrently. Establish and maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders. Coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle, ensuring timely completion of deliverables. Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort so projects remain within agreed‑to budget and schedule. Collaborate with Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for periodic project reviews. Implement QA/QC procedures. Perform other duties as required. Provide local travel: 30%; travel greater than 40 miles: 70%. Preferred Qualifications A license or certification. PMP certification. Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, environmental science or a closely related field. Proven experience managing the NEPA process for transportation projects. Strong conceptual, organizational, problem‑solving, and research skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with NEPA projects for other project types beyond transportation. Demonstrated knowledge of NEPA and the environmental process. Experience managing EA/EIS projects. Preference given to local candidates. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 7 years related experience. Minimum of 2 years project management experience. Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Commitment to employee‑owned culture is required.
