EnTech is looking for an on-call "DEP Asbestos Investigator" to work on projects the New York City area. Our projects are generally located at public facilities, including but not limited to, schools, public buildings, bridges, subway stations, etc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing asbestos field investigations/surveys following federal, state, local, and client/agency protocols. Collecting samples and delivering them to a lab for analysis, taking photographs, completing chain‑of‑custody forms, and preparing sample collection drawings (photo logs). Assisting in preparation of comprehensive asbestos survey reports. Exercising sound, independent judgment. Maintaining accurate records and preparing clear and concise technical correspondence. Interpreting sampling results and applying relevant laws and regulations. Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with team members. Traveling throughout the New York Metropolitan Area. Qualifications: A minimum of two years ofexperience performing hazardous materials surveys. Current NYCDEP Investigator Certificate. Current NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector License. Ability to read project drawings and specifications. Valid NYS Driver's License and ownership of a vehicle to be used for transportation to the job site. Ability to use power tools, climb ladders, and carry sampling and ancillary equipment. Trained to use PPE, such as masks, respirators, safety harnesses, etc. Availability to work flexible hours.
