Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery OR unit in Oklahoma City, requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

• Located in an acute care hospital Adult Surgery operating room unit in Oklahoma City, OK
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Minimum of 6 months Level 1 trauma experience required for this assignment
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
• CNOR certification preferred
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
• Responsible for direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care within the perioperative environment
• Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure being performed
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of perioperative care utilizing the nursing process
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract
• Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon accepting an offer; non-compliance may result in cancellation
