Registered Nurse In Progressive Care Unit

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Stroke experience Telemetry experience Cardiac drips experience Description: This position is approved for travelers. The unit has a total of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Unit staffing includes available techs. Equipment on the unit includes Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, telemetry, bladder scanner, and Doppler. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include 3 shifts per week and 3-4 weekend shifts. Floating policy may apply based on demonstrated competency. Patient experience requirements include telemetry and stroke care. Advanced skills needed are cardiac drips and basic dysthymia. There are no specific procedures performed on this unit. Required certifications are NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS. The required uniform is navy blue. High employee engagement is noted in this unit.
