Job Title: Senior Java Architect (Government Experience Required)
Location: Albany, NY (Day 1 Onsite)
Duration: 23 Months
A leading organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. This role requires strong expertise in Java technologies, multi-tier architecture, and experience working within government or public sector environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement highly available, scalable multi-tier applications
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level Java applications using modern frameworks and design patterns
- Architect solutions using Object-Oriented and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and technical solutions
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability standards are met
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the development lifecycle
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and architecture planning
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- 84 months (7+ years) of experience designing and implementing scalable multi-tier applications using Object-Oriented or Service-Oriented Architecture
- 84 months (7+ years) of experience developing applications using Java (JDK 1.8 or higher)
- 72 months (6+ years) of experience in web development using JSF/JSP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working with J2EE application servers such as WebSphere Application Server (v7.0 or higher)
- 72 months (6+ years) of experience using JPA and/or Hibernate with Oracle or SQL Server databases
- 72 months (6+ years) of experience with messaging technologies such as MQ and JMS
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and design patterns
- Experience working in government or public sector projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Onsite role based in Albany, NY (Day 1 onsite required)
- Long-term contract opportunity (23 months)
