Registered Nurse - Specialty Care/Transport - Per Diem Days

About This Role The Specialty Care Transport Nurse will utilize the nursing process and established best practices to assess, plan, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in both out-of-hospital and interfacility environments. This role is ideal for nurses who understand and apply specialized critical care principles and techniques. Highlights Location: Holmdel, NJ Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You'll Do Collaborate and communicate with all members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams. Attend educational workshops and review professional publications. Delegate patient care activities to qualified individuals. Participate in the collection, analysis, and application of performance improvement data. Ensure patient safety during transport and provide necessary life support measures. Establish patient care goals and educate patients and families. Ensure the unit remains ready in terms of mechanical reliability and supplies. Collect health history data from patients and families. Document all data and findings in accordance with hospital policy. Requirements Education Graduate of an approved School of Nursing BSN preferred Experience Demonstrates ability to complete orientation and associated competencies Licenses & Certifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification within 60 days of entering position Valid Driver's License from a USA state required Prehospital Trauma Life Support Certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course Certification within 60 days of entering position Emergency Medical Technician Certification New Jersey within 60 days of entering position Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 60 days of entering position Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Certification (MICP) or Mobile Intensive Care Nurse certification (MICN) required for 911/Advanced Life Support response About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
