Assistant Digital Print Operator (Cans) - Fast-Paced Shop

Position Overview We are seeking an Assistant Digital Print Operator to join a production team in Fremont, OH. This position supports digital print operations involved in decorating aluminum beverage cans and assists with maintaining production flow, quality standards, and equipment operation. This is a hands-on manufacturing role ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, production experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities Assist the Lead Digital Print Operator with daily production activities Monitor product quality to ensure standards are met Inspect printed cans and identify quality issues Monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot conveyor and production equipment Perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance as needed Operate forklifts to move materials throughout production Maintain a clean and safe work environment Support production needs and assist in other areas when required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, production, or related experience preferred Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required Forklift experience preferred (certification is a plus) Strong attention to detail and quality awareness Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Flexible and willing to learn multiple responsibilities Ability to remain active and work in a manufacturing setting EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
