As a VON nurse, you’ll deliver holistic, person‑centred care to children, youth, adults, seniors, and support their families. What we offer Work to your full scope of practice Ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge Comprehensive orientation program to ensure your success Competitive salary and vacation time Defined Benefit Pension Plan with company contributions Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, LTD) and an Employee Assistance Program Smartphone to help you stay organized and connected throughout your day Travel compensation and mileage What you’ll do Client assessments to develop individual care plans Provide primary care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals Simple and advanced wound care, including complex and negative‑pressure wounds Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes care and education) IV therapy and CVAD management Phlebotomy and specimen collection Dialysis management Rehabilitative programs Palliative and end‑of‑life care Medication management And many other critical nursing skills What we’re looking for Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice Community health experience is an asset Must enjoy driving, have a personal vehicle, and possess a current driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required; a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may also be necessary Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Working conditions and physical demands This role requires a detail‑oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
