Summary

The Customer Service Representative (Truck Gate) will coordinate all data entry and related processes for truck gate operations to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment for all employees, carriers, and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Process trucks as they arrive by recording the driver, truck number, and arrival date/time
• Process trucks as they depart by entering load sheet info into iVELES and scanning bay tags to match with load sheet to upload and confirm complete and allow driver to proceed offsite
• Inspect the truck gate and truck load lanes each hour to ensure cleanliness to report any spills or trash to the driver or carrier office and log inspection results in logbook
• Update truck data on computer as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• HS diploma/G.E.D. required
• 1 - 2 years of direct experience required

Skills

• Ability to work effectively in group/team settings required
• Ability to respond to IT problems and customer queries required
• Interpersonal and communication skills required
• Knowledge of MS Office applications to include Excel experience required

This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting at West Point, GA.

• Exposure to loud noises from vehicles and heavy machinery
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions
• Exposure to chemicals/fumes
