Location

Williston, ND | Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts (0645–1915 / 1845–0715) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting, including couplet care at a 1:3 ratio
• Maintain 1:1 nursing ratios for patients on pitocin, magnesium, or insulin drips; titrate drips as required
• Read and independently interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips using the TraceView/PIP system; no monitor techs are available on the unit
• Manage common diagnoses including hypertension, gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), and obstetric/neonatal care; unit targets delivery at or after 36 weeks gestation
• Document and chart using the Meditech EMR system
• Float to Med/Surg or the Emergency Department as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of North Dakota
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Experience titrating drips (pitocin, insulin, magnesium)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity Health) within the past 12 months
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at the time of submission; additional time off will not be approved after placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS, NRP, and/or S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with AWHONN staffing guidelines and quality metrics
• Experience with Philips telemetry monitors and Meditech EMR
