Registered Veterinary Technician

Position The Creekside Animal Hospital is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team in West Lafayette, IN. This role is ideal for an experienced, outgoing technician who wants to work at the top of their license, expand technical abilities, and build meaningful client relationships. Responsibilities Provide patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient preparation, recovery, and full dental cleanings and radiographs. Support efficient exam room workflow and maintain clear client communication. Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity. Collaborate with the team and support veterinarians during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care. Participate in case rounds held several times per year (lunch included) to earn CE credit and enhance clinical knowledge. Schedule This is a flexible position open to full‑time or part‑time. Full‑time shifts include 3.5 days Monday‑Friday with rotating Saturday shifts required. Part‑time schedules vary but also require rotating Saturdays. Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay: $20.00 – $25.50 per hour. Bonus package: up to $2,000 based on credentials. CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure. 2 paid CE days per year for all full‑time staff. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Life insurance and disability coverage. Minimum Qualifications and Skills 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting. Current Veterinary Technician license in Indiana. Proficiency with anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery. Ability to perform dental prophylaxis, charting, and radiographs. Competence in cystocentesis, IV & IM injections.
