Contract | Days | Onsite | Expected 8-hour shifts; overtime may be available on holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develop appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and adjust treatments based on patient progress
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and make referrals as appropriate; provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Accurately document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system, including treatment minutes, progress notes, and comprehensive discharge summaries
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings, as well as facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed; adhere to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience required
• Long Term Care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience required
• Active Oklahoma State SLP License required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required
• New graduates considered if Level II clinical experience has been completed (Level I observation experience alone does not meet this requirement)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of experience holding an active CCC-SLP certification
• Experience supervising CFY or student clinicians in a long term care or rehabilitation environment
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems used in skilled nursing or long term care settings
