Retail Wine Room Manager

We are seeking a passionate, experienced Wine Rome Manager to lead our premium Retail Wine Room. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hospitality-minded leader who loves wine, delights in creating exceptional guest experiences, and knows how to drive sales and profitability in a specialty retail environment. As Wine Room Manager, you will be the face of the store and report directly to the Store Manager. You will oversee all day-to-day operations, build and develop a strong team, curate an outstanding wine selection, and create memorable experiences for wine lovers in the region area. Key Responsibilities Lead all daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, sales floor management, and maintaining exceptional store standards. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop a high-performing team of wine associates. Drive sales targets through outstanding customer service, wine education, tastings, and personalized recommendations. Manage full-cycle inventory: ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and maintaining optimal levels of everyday and allocated wines. Build and maintain strong relationships with winery representatives, distributors, and suppliers. Plan and execute successful in-store events, tastings, promotions, and seasonal merchandising displays. Achieve financial goals by preparing budgets, controlling costs, analyzing P&L, and optimizing profitability. Ensure full compliance with all alcohol beverage laws, TTB regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Oversee merchandising, visual displays, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales. Deliver regular reporting including weekly recaps, monthly P&L recaps, and end-of-month purchasing requests. Conduct weekly manager meetings and monthly team meetings while maintaining a positive and professional work environment. Provide exceptional guest experience by building customer loyalty and turning shoppers into regular patrons. Requirements & Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of retail management experience (wine, liquor, or specialty retail strongly preferred). Must be at least 21 years old with current alcohol server/seller certification as required by Missouri law. Passion for wine with strong product knowledge (or willingness to rapidly develop it). Proven track record in achieving sales targets, managing budgets, and leading teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable with retail POS/inventory systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
