RN Coordinator Organ Placement - Abdominal Transplant Svcs

Job Description INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system, has a great opportunity for a RN Coordinator in Oklahoma City, OK. Work Full Time Days 8:00am-4:30pm with our Organ Placement team providing exceptional care to patients entrusted to INTEGRIS Health. The Organ Placement Nurse Coordinator is a specialized member of the transplant team and provides 24‑hour call coverage for abdominal solid organ transplant programs. The RN/LPN works with OPOs, transplant surgeons, physicians, and hospital staff to arrange successful organ transplants. Responsibilities Manages all aspects of deceased donor transplants, from notification of organ offer to acceptance through transplantation. Assesses suitability and prepares transplant recipients and live donors for solid organ transplantation. Applies selection criteria at time of transplant and coordinates preoperative care for donors and recipients. Communicates timely and accurately with transplant surgeons, physicians, and the OPO regarding organ offers. Notifies, schedules, and updates all transplant, HLA lab, OPO, and hospital team members through all phases of transplant; donor recovery, pre‑transplant admission, OR and anesthesia scheduling, and post‑transplant. Arranges transportation for organ recovery and/or organ transport as required. Contacts transplant recipients for triage/assessment of current status and reports back to transplant physicians. Completes all required UNET documentation at time of organ offer, acceptance and denial of organs, and at pre‑ and post‑transplant. Completes all required notification and documentation required by the transplant program and OPTN. Receives patient phone calls and triages based on program criteria. Receives lab critical values and manages per program criteria and policies. Receives outside physician/hospital calls related to transplant program patients and manages appropriate care per program criteria. Assumes shifts as assigned by manager. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience 3 years of RN or LPN experience. Education Associate's degree in Nursing. License/Certifications LPN: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact member state. RN: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact member state. BLS: Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. #J-18808-Ljbffr
