Quality Assurance EngineerLuxfer Gas Cylinders manufactures and distributes gas cylinders and is an operating unit of Luxfer Group based in Riverside, CA. Our products serve customers in major gas cylinder markets, including medical, life support, beverage, fire, scuba, and specialty gases. We maintain operating facilities in the United States, the UK, Canada and China. And with more than 50 million Luxfer cylinders in service, we pride ourselves on an exemplary record for dependable service and safety.This position shall be responsible for ensuring that products meet customer, regulatory, and aerospace standards, with a focus on process improvement, supplier quality, and compliance with AS9100 requirements. The goal of this position is to achieve compliance with requirements and take advantage of improving the cost of compliance.Essential Job FunctionsQuality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure system and documentation compliance with customer, regulatory, and standards requirementsAssist in internal and external audits, including customer and third-party auditsParticipate in preparation, review, and approval of quality documentationProcess Improvement & Problem SolvingCreate and implement continuous improvement initiativesConduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actionsSupplier QualityWork with suppliers to ensure product quality and compliance with requirementsCoordinate non-conformance from supplier parts or processes.Data Analysis & ReportingCollect, analyze, and interpret quality data to monitor trends and identify improvement opportunitiesPrepare quality reports and metrics (ex. First Article Inspection Reports) for internal and customer useCustomer Support & Issue ResolutionInterface with customers regarding product quality issuesCoordinate with production to address quality concernsJob Skills and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related field preferred).Experience3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace industries.Technical SkillsKnowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems.Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PPAP, SPC, CAPA).Experience with ERP/MRP systems and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) is desirable.Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and analytical thinking.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Physical Requirements:Able to work with chemicals and fibers.Able to lift to 25 lbs.Compensation Range: $80,000 to $90,000We are committed to a safe, drug-free work environment and pre-employment drug screening, physical and background checks are required prior to starting.
