Night Registered Nurse – Emergency Department Location: WK Bossier, Shreveport, LA Job type: Full-Time, Night shift starting at 7 PM. Responsibilities Triage, assess, and care for patients overnight. Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per hospital policy. Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other nurses. Document patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic health records. Educate patients and families about diagnoses and procedures. Support patient flow through timely admissions, discharges, and transfers. Qualifications Interacts with patients, families, and visitors. Assigns duties to unit staff. Provides technical information and assistance to nursing personnel, physicians, and other department personnel. Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Louisiana. Proficiency in applying highly technical nursing principles, concepts, and techniques. Human relation skills in interviewing and communication. Ability to use initiative in decision making and independent judgement. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment.
