Description
This position is based in Chicago, IL, and is a contract role.
The candidate will engage in both automated and manual testing of software applications, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to testing standards.
The role requires proficiency in generic testing technologies and methodologies, with a focus on improving testing processes and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
Decipher business requirements and use cases to develop test cases.
Write and execute both manual and automated end-user test cases.
Track and report test results, issues, and defects throughout the testing cycle.
Represent the testing team in reviews of use cases and requirements documentation.
Provide input on process improvements and mentor less experienced staff members.

Qualifications
Experience in test automation and manual testing methodologies.
Proficiency in API testing and defect tracking tools.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) in Agile/Waterfall frameworks.
Knowledge of database skills and cloud fundamentals.
Experience in performance and load testing, service virtualization, and domain knowledge in financial sectors.
