Specialty: Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby RN

Unit Overview

• 9 Labor, Delivery & Recovery (LDR) Rooms
• 8 Postpartum/GYN Beds
• 2 C-Section OR Suites
• 23 Well-Baby Nursery Beds
• 50+ OB staff members

Staffing

Day Shift

• Director
• Manager
• Couplet Nurses
• Birth Response Nurse
• L&D Nurses
• Scrub Tech

Night Shift

• Clinical Coordinator/Charge Nurse
• Birth Response Nurse
• Couplet Nurses
• L&D Nurses
• Scrub Tech

Patient Ratios

• Postpartum: 3 Couplets : 1 RN
• Labor & Delivery: 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, or epidural patients

Required Certifications

• ✔️ BLS
• ✔️ ACLS
• ✔️ NRP
• ✔️ AWHONN (Fetal Monitoring)

Required Experience

• Recent OB / Labor & Delivery experience

Preferred Skills

• Cesarean section:
  • Circulator
  • First Assist
  • Scrub experience

Floating

• Float only within the Maternity Care Center
• No floating to other hospital departments

Weekend Requirements

• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Days: Saturday & Sunday
  • Nights: Friday & Saturday

Call

• No call required for travelers
• Extra shifts may be available

Dress Code

• Hospital-provided scrubs
