This is a well-established medical center offering comprehensive women's health services within a large, full-service hospital environment. The facility features a robust labor and delivery unit with ten labor and delivery rooms, eight antepartum rooms, eighteen postpartum rooms, and two dedicated operating rooms, ensuring providers have the resources needed to deliver exceptional patient care.

Physician – Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• OB/Gyn Hospitalist position covering inpatient labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum units
• Provider must be willing to work both days and nights to be considered
• Shift times are 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with 12 guaranteed hours per day
• 12 shifts per month required with a provider minimum of 7-14 shifts per month
• 5-10 patient encounters per shift
• Provide coverage for unassigned OB patients, patients signed out by primary OBs, and unassigned gynecologic emergency department patients
• Oversee labor of low and high-risk OB patients
• Manage low and high-risk pregnancies
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic) with performance and interpretation capabilities
• Perform amniocentesis procedures
• Handle routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, cesarean sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Provide surgical management of c-sections, spontaneous abortions, and ovarian torsion
• Assist private physicians with planned and unplanned C-sections
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Perform surgical gynecology services including open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, and operative/major procedures
• Laborist back-up and perinatology support available on unit
• Active California medical license required – no out-of-state or IMLC licenses accepted
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 6 years of residency required
• Active DEA required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Clean application required – providers with settlements, DUIs/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days
• Start date: 10/1/2026 – Ongoing
