About the Position

Description

HWL Health Cancer Center - Outpatient Center-AN-0017 Shift: Monday-Friday 8Hr Days. Oncology Infusion RN: 5 years of experience required. BLS required, OCN preferred, ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card preferred. Prior travel preferred. We are an outpatient infusion center. Nurses have 4 chairs, which gives them a 4:1 ratio (we never want the nurses to have more than 4 patients at one given time). Nurses take approximately 9-11 patients per day (this is a balance of infusions, injections, lab draws, etc). Required drips and medications: Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Biotherapy, various medications for management of those diagnoses listed above (Remicade, IVIG, Ferrlecit, Venofer, Orencia, etc). Blood transfusion (including PRBCs, Platelets). Therapeutic phlebotomy. EMR: Epic with Beacon (Oncology Platform). HWL prescreen interview, Manager final interview and offer.\r\n\r\nRadius Rule 50 miles from perm address. FLOATING REQUIRED- Travelers are first to float, possibly float to other sister campuses as well. ALL RTO must be on submission- HCF will not be approving RTO after submission. (Please load all Demographic information at time of submittal: Address, email, full DOB, full SS, RN license number.) We will NOT be able to confirm anyone without this demographic information loaded in the profile. Culture is VERY important here. Travelers are welcomed into the units and are expected to function as core staff does. Hard document deadline is Monday prior to start. No exceptions for pending docs.
