Operations Manager – VitalShred Vital Holdings LLC, Richmond, Virginia, United States About this position Job Title: Operations Manager – VitalShred Salary: $75,000 Summary: The Operations Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to implementing quality concepts throughout the operational processes to make continuous improvements; supervising records center/vault operations and delivery service; maintaining proper staffing; and reaching specific operational benchmarks. Essential functions Personnel Management – Hiring, training, enforcing policies, ensuring proper staffing. Quality tracking and improvement – Working with Area Vice President and Director of Operations to improve the Company’s quality program. Forecast Requirements – Budget control, reporting, corrective action to maintain fiscal responsibility. Facilities/Equipment Maintenance – Maintaining clean and efficient facilities, vehicle/equipment maintenance, managing rack space. Inventory Control – Daily shred operations; auditing paperwork; overseeing/reconciling daily shred functions; conducting audits. Customer Service – Providing courteous and attentive treatment of customers, presenting a professional image in person and over the phone. Requirements Competencies Problem solving skills Experience in implementing quality concepts and practice in a service industry work environment Detail‑oriented work style Organizational skills Willing to take responsibilities for daily operations even if personal sacrifices are required (have cell phone, able to cover any shift, and run emergencies) Willing and able to do physical work when necessary Commitment to being a key leader in disaster recovery environment and embracing the unique requirements of servicing both internal and external customers in such an environment Ability to tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter. Physical demands: regular standing/walking; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching; reach, handle, carry, lift 10–50 lbs; talk, hear, read, and identify numbers. Supervisory experience (3–5 years preferred) Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR and background check High school diploma Forklift certification Must pass drug screen Other duties Other duties may be assigned as needed.
