Registered Nurse (RN) | Travel | Neuro MedSurg Acute

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro MedSurg Acute unit. The ideal candidate will possess experience in level 1 trauma settings and prior travel assignments. The role is suited for those with expertise in managing neurological patients, including stroke and spine surgery cases.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: 8/4/2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every other week, both Saturday and Sunday
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Floating Requirements: Rotate with staff, float in urgent needs
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific scrub color required; tattoos covered, ear piercings only
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, brain tumors, and spine injuries
• Administer and titrate Heparin drips based on PTT
• Collaborate with charge nurse and house supervisor on patient care
• Support respiratory treatments including high-flow oxygen for stable cases

Qualifications

Required:

• Active IL license or initiation of application process
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Experience in level 1 trauma centers and dedicated neuro units
• Previous travel nursing experience
