About the Position

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, assess vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Manage and monitor ICU equipment and assist with critical care procedures as needed.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety requirements.

Requirements

• Recent  ICU/critical care nursing experience required.
• Active  Maine RN License required.
• Current  AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must be available to work 3 × 12-hour day shifts and  every other weekend .
• Must comply with the  State of Maine Influenza Vaccination mandate .
• Position may require  variable shifts based on facility needs.
