A California-based law firm is seeking an associate attorney with 2–6 years of relevant experience to join its San Francisco office. This role will support the firm’s Retail Trade and Environmental practices, with a strong emphasis on litigation and regulatory counseling.

Job Details

Responsibilities

Defend clients in Proposition 65 matters and related enforcement actions
Handle claims involving the California Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition, and False Advertising laws
Participate in litigation concerning property contamination and environmental compliance
Defend citizen suits under the federal Clean Water Act
Research and advise clients on environmental regulations and consumer product compliance requirements
Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across practice groups

Qualifications

2–6 years of experience in environmental, consumer protection, or complex commercial litigation
Admission to the California Bar (required)
Experience with Proposition 65 litigation strongly preferred
Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
