QA/Cx Engineer

Position : QA/Cx Engineer Reports to: QA/Cx Engineering Manager Location: Columbus, Ohio Salary Range: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour (Eligible for Overtime) We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates. Superior is looking for a QA/Cx Engineer who will support the field and project operations team through commissioning planning and execution. This role focuses on developing and reviewing methods of procedure (MOPs), supporting lockout/tagout (LOTO) planning, and ensuring systems are prepared for safe and efficient energization. The position is based on a job site in Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities Creates energization and electrical performance methods and procedures (MOPs) Support LOTO planning and energized work coordination Lead portions of pre-energization readiness reviews Identify and communicate risks related to startup and system integration Track commissioning progress and support issue resolution Support quality assurance and commissioning efforts at project sites Collaborate with manufacturers, distributors, and testing partners Interface with owner and construction managers to address technical questions and remediate issues Your Character Traits You’re highly organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detail You’re a great communicator, a team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our jobsites and organization You have a customer-focused mentality Your Expertise Required: You have experience in the design, construction, and installation of building electrical systems Required: You have experience in quality control, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems Required: You have strong technical understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and redundant power systems Required: You have experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards Bonus Points: You have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Our Benefits Health Insurance: We pay 100% of the insurance premium to cover you, your spouse, and eligible children Dental Plan: We pay 100% of the insurance premium to cover you, your spouse, and eligible children Long-Term Disability, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance: We pay 100% of the insurance premium to cover you 401K Plan: We contribute a portion of your 401K for you Vacation/PTO: You receive a minimum of three weeks of PTO per year Health Savings Account: We contribute at least $500 to your HSA each year Maternity and Parental Leave: New parents receive paid time off About The Superior Group Superior is a national leader in electrical design and construction.
