Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU/PCU setting within a Critical Access Hospital, with willingness to float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed.
• Identify patient and family education needs and deliver education utilizing appropriate modalities.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses throughout the assigned shift.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of physician orders, including 24-hour order checks as applicable to the assigned shift.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures using proper techniques, documentation, and standard precautions at all times.
• Report critical lab values to the physician in a timely manner per policy, and maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license required.
• Experience in ICU, PCU, Telemetry, and/or Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe operation of equipment used in PCU, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical areas, including troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to identify and implement patient safety measures including proper use of side rails, restraints, and equipment per policy.
• Proficiency in delivering accurate change-of-shift reports and communicating effectively across departments.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) environment.
• Comfort and flexibility with floating between ICU/PCU and Medical-Surgical units.
