Unit Profile

Location: Augusta, GA

Unit: 2 South Surgical/Trauma

Number of Beds: 24

Patient Ratios: 1:5, 1:6 (maximum)

Unit Staffing

  • 1 unit secretary on days
  • 2 techs available on days and nights
Equipment and Documentation
  • Type of Equipment: Hill Rom, Pyxis, Welch Allyn
  • Documentation System: Meditech
Special Requirements
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating policy to be determined based on hospital needs

Qualifications

Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in medical/surgical or orthopedic nursing required; experience in post-operative and trauma care preferred.

Requested Skill Set: Post-operative care management with multidisciplinary teams.

Certifications Required: ACLS/BLS

Dress Code

Required Uniform: Royal Blue scrubs; black, white, or royal blue jackets are permitted.

The patient population primarily consists of post-operative and trauma patients. We offer pathways available for individual surgeons and physicians, providing resources for easy orientation and familiarity.
