Join our team and help us keep operations efficient and customers happy!What You'll Do (Responsibilities & Expectations)Inventory ManagementAccurately track, count, and record inventory levels on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.Maintain proper labeling, organization, and storage of all inventory items.Assist with forecasting inventory needs to prevent overstocking or shortages.Data Entry & SystemsUpdate inventory management software with incoming and outgoing stock.Generate and review inventory reports for accuracy.Ensure compliance with company procedures for inventory documentation.Receiving & ShippingVerify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.Inspect materials for damage or defects and report issues promptly.Prepare and package orders for shipment while meeting accuracy and timeline requirements.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.Communicate shortages, delays, or issues to supervisors and relevant departments.Support audits and compliance checks as needed.General ExpectationsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.Meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness goals consistently.Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.What We're Looking ForRequired:High school diploma or equivalent1–3 years of inventory, warehouse, or supply chain experienceComfortable using inventory management software and ExcelStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAble to lift/move up to 40–50 lbsGood communication skillsAbility to pass background check and drug screeningPreferred:Associate's degree or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or related field.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar).Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and best practices.Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles for process improvement.Pay Schedule: Competitive hourly wage based on experience, starting pay $20Job Type: Full time – Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm, alternating Saturdays 9am to 2pmQDI Surfaces – Houston West Branch 12955 Emmett Road, Houston, TX 77041Benefits:Full Health care after 60 days401K after 1 year, 1st eligible quarterEmployee Discounts on materialPTOWhy You'll Love Working Here:Career Growth: Opportunities to move into senior inventory, logistics, or supply chain roles as we expand.Supportive Team: Collaborative work environment where your input is valued.Competitive Pay & Benefits: Including health, dental, vision, and retirement plan options.Work-Life Balance: Predictable schedule with respect for your time.Continuous Improvement Culture: We encourage innovation, process improvements, and professional development.
