Your Responsibilities

• Carrying out detailed patient evaluations, initiating diagnostic procedures, and developing tailored care strategies
• Identifying and managing a spectrum of acute, chronic, or episodic health concerns either collaboratively with physicians or independently (depending on your qualifications)
• Informing patients and their families about wellness, preventive care, and effective disease management techniques
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice

• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered care
• Accurately documenting in electronic medical records (EMR) for comprehensive patient histories

Your Educational Background

• Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licensure & Certification Needs

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in a specialty area
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
