Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism (ZSFG) - Clinician-Educator

Position Description The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco is recruiting a full- or part‑time Endocrinologist as a clinician‑educator at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and Trauma Center at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The primary responsibilities include patient care and teaching. Applicants should demonstrate creativity, determination, strong people and educational skills, and a desire to serve the safety‑net population. Responsibilities include outpatient clinical effort in general endocrinology (including thyroid FNA) and diabetes as well as inpatient consult attending. The position also involves education and training of endocrinology fellows, medicine residents, and medical students. Secondary responsibilities and effort percentages are flexible and will be guided by the applicant’s interests. Over time the applicant is expected to develop a focused area of clinical expertise and creative activities—such as research, quality improvement, and teaching—aligned with their interests and skills. Qualifications: Candidates must hold an MD (or equivalent) and be licensed (or eligible to obtain a license) to practice medicine in California.
