School RN in Oxnard, CA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Role Overview:
You will deliver general nursing services district-wide, focusing on transitional kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade. The position involves collaboration with school nurses, management of diabetic student needs, and supporting children with medical conditions across multiple campus sites.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily nursing care and health assessments to students.
• Manage diabetic care, including carb counting for children and administering appropriate interventions.
• Assist students with ventilator and tracheostomy needs (vent/trach experience or certification highly preferred).
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
• Respond promptly to acute medical needs or emergencies.
• Collaborate with education and health teams to promote student wellness.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license.
• Strong hands-on experience with diabetic care, especially carb counting for young children.
• Ventilator and trach experience or certification is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual skills are highly preferred and will be beneficial in serving a diverse student population.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Perks:

• Competitive hourly rate, $35 to $45 depending on experience.
